The Heart Behind the Name:
Embers are slowly dying or fading memories, responses, emotions, and ideas that are still capable of being revived and often lead to fire. Everyone has embers that may have been squashed or continue to fester into small fires within their lives. As time passes, we can become complacent about the ripple effect those embers create, touching every aspect of our lives. Our marriages, children, families, friends, and more may see fragments of us that have been shaped by traumas left to fester when we believed they were dormant.
What most people do not immediately see is a path out—a light or direction that, while filled with obstacles, still exists. How do you begin to see the possibility of change? By recognizing your worth and wanting more for yourself. By facing the parts of yourself you once pushed away and finding solitude and peace through trauma processing, without the constant intensity of negative impacts or dwelling on the past.
Ember & Lighthouse Wellness is rooted in the belief that life's fires and waves don't have to define your journey. A lighthouse represents safety, direction, and hope—guiding you through the wreckage and toward healing on the other side.

About:
Certified EMDR Therapist and Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist
Licensed in Texas
I am a trauma therapist specializing in EMDR and ART, along with other modalities to use such as DBT, IFS and a person-centered approach. I also consult with local departments for further questions and resources in the area.
I have been led down this path after working with incarcerated and probation individuals along with government entities, victims of crime, substance abuse and those who experience complex trauma or PTSD. As a responder on scene with police and fire, I have exposure and comprehension of the job-related trauma exposure that comes with it. After seeing the lack of resources and impact of the dark realities in the field and when consulting, I became passionate for being a helping hand for them. I welcome the gallows humor and unique ways they process stress.
Shopping for a therapist can be difficult, so here is a little about me to see if I might be a therapist you’ve been looking for:
I thrived on gruesome calls and chaos on calls; dark humor is welcomed!
be skeptical and ask me questions but be fine with laughter because I prefer therapy to be fun!
typical sessions are clients cutting loose, potty mouths coming out and acknowledgment of resistance in their life and wanting something in your life to change
a big sports girl, if the Dallas Stars are playing or college football is on then be aware I may come into the office with no voice from the game
me in a nutshell: a foodie and brewery lover, reader, coffee connoisseur, music explorer of a plethora of genres, tattoos and the occasional swear word but loves Jesus.
